Wrap
The breakfast wrap, a culinary chameleon, can accommodate just about any ingredient you have on hand for a quick, portable, and satisfying meal. This version features classic fillings like cheese, ham, and mustard, wrapped in a perfectly cooked egg.
The breakfast wrap has a long and storied history, dating back to the early days of human civilization. The first wraps were likely made by nomadic tribes who needed a way to transport their food on the go. These early wraps were probably simple affairs, consisting of meat, cheese, and vegetables wrapped in a piece of bread or leather. Over time, the wrap evolved into a more sophisticated dish, with fillings ranging from simple to complex and wrappers ranging from flour tortillas to rice paper. Today, the breakfast wrap is a popular meal all over the world, enjoyed by people of all ages.

Why It Works
  • The nonstick skillet ensures that the egg cooks evenly and prevents it from sticking.
  • Cooking the egg over medium heat allows it to cook through without burning.
  • Placing the cheese on one half of the egg and topping it with the ham ensures that the cheese melts evenly.
  • Folding the egg over the filling and cooking it for an additional minute or two melts the cheese and seals the wrap.
  • Spreading mustard on the inside of the wrap adds flavor and helps to hold the wrap together.
  • Seasoning the wrap with salt and pepper to taste enhances the flavor of the fillings.
