I first developed this recipe a few years ago when I was looking for a healthy and flavorful way to cook shrimp. I experimented with different marinades and grilling techniques until I came up with this winning combination. These shrimp are always a hit with my family and friends, and I'm sure you'll love them too.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, combine garlic, lemon juice, orange juice, parsley, thyme, salt, pepper, and olive oil.
  2. Add the shrimp to the marinade and toss to coat. Let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread shrimp onto skewers and grill for 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.
  5. Serve hot and enjoy!
Why It Works
  • The citrus juice in the marinade helps to tenderize the shrimp and gives them a bright, fresh flavor.
  • The herbs in the marinade add complexity and depth of flavor.
  • Grilling the shrimp over high heat quickly sears the outside, creating a nice crust, while keeping the inside moist and tender.
