Ingredients
  • 1 cup (120g) hazelnuts, toasted and finely ground
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) fresh orange juice
  • 1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the hazelnuts, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the eggs until light and fluffy.
  4. Gradually add the orange juice and melted butter to the eggs.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
