Ingredients

  • Ground cloves (1/2 tsp)
  • Ground allspice (1/4 tsp)
  • Sugar (1/4 cup)
  • Molasses (1/4 cup)
  • Water (2 tbsp)
Instructions
  1. Combine all the spices in a small bowl.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, molasses, and water.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, or until the mixture has thickened slightly.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the spice mixture.
  6. Let cool completely.
  7. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place for up to 2 weeks.
