This cumin-cilantro beef stir-fry is a quick and easy weeknight meal that is packed with flavor. The beef is marinated in a flavorful mixture of coconut aminos, cumin, salt, and pepper, then stir-fried until browned. The vegetables are cooked until tender-crisp and the whole dish is finished with a sprinkling of fresh cilantro. This stir-fry is a great way to use up leftover steak or roast beef, and it is also a good source of protein and vegetables.
This recipe is inspired by the flavors of traditional Chinese stir-fries. I wanted to create a dish that was flavorful and easy to make, and that could be made with ingredients that are readily available. I started with a base of beef, which is a good source of protein and iron. I then added a variety of vegetables, including bell peppers, onions, and garlic, for flavor and texture. To give the dish a flavorful boost, I marinated the beef in a mixture of coconut aminos, cumin, salt, and pepper. Coconut aminos is a naturally sweet and savory sauce that adds a umami flavor to the beef. Cumin is a warm and earthy spice that adds a depth of flavor to the dish. Salt and pepper are essential for seasoning the beef and vegetables.
