Ingredients
  • 1 packet (500g) of shredded filo dough
  • 1 cup of melted butter
  • 1 cup of chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup of chopped pistachios
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  3. Spread half of the shredded filo dough in the prepared pan.
  4. Brush with melted butter.
  5. Sprinkle with half of the walnuts and pistachios.
  6. Repeat with the remaining filo dough, butter, walnuts, and pistachios.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. While the kadayif is baking, make the milk syrup. In a saucepan, combine the sugar, honey, milk, and cinnamon. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, or until thickened.
