Dolmas with Stuffed Grape Leaves

Ingredients
  • 1 cup grape leaves
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped mint
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the grape leaves to the boiling water and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until they are softened.
  3. Remove the grape leaves from the boiling water and drain them on paper towels.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cooked rice, onion, tomatoes, parsley, mint, oregano, and salt.
  5. Place a grape leaf on a flat surface and spoon about 1 tablespoon of the rice mixture into the center of the leaf.
  6. Fold the sides of the leaf over the rice mixture and roll up the leaf tightly.
  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 with the remaining grape leaves and rice mixture.
  8. Place the dolmas in a single layer in a baking dish.
  9. Bake the dolmas at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes, or until they are heated through.
