This dish starts with sushi-grade tuna that's marinated in a mixture of soy sauce and rice vinegar. The marinade also includes ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper. The tuna is then refrigerated for at least 30 minutes. This allows the marinade to penetrate the fish and give it a delicious flavor. Once the tuna is marinated, it's cooked quickly in a hot pan until it's just cooked through. The tuna is then served with a spicy mayo that's made with mayonnaise and Sriracha. The spicy mayo adds a nice kick to the dish and pairs perfectly with the flavorful tuna.
This dish was inspired by my travels to Japan. I was particularly impressed by the way that the Japanese use simple ingredients to create delicious and flavorful dishes. This dish is a reflection of that philosophy. It's made with just a few simple ingredients, but it's full of flavor and sure to impress your guests.
