Fig and Walnut Semolina Bread
This fig and walnut semolina bread is a delightful combination of sweet and savory flavors. The semolina flour gives the bread a slightly coarse texture, while the figs and walnuts add a chewy sweetness and a nutty crunch. This bread is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and can be enjoyed on its own or with your favorite toppings.
This recipe was inspired by a trip I took to Italy a few years ago. I was visiting a small town in Tuscany when I stumbled upon a bakery that was selling a delicious-looking fig and walnut bread. I bought a loaf and took it back to my hotel room, where I enjoyed it with a glass of wine. The bread was so good that I decided to recreate it when I got home. After a few attempts, I finally perfected the recipe, and I'm excited to share it with you today.

Why It Works
  • The semolina flour gives the bread a slightly coarse texture, which is perfect for pairing with the chewy figs and walnuts.
  • The figs and walnuts add a natural sweetness and crunch to the bread, making it a great choice for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
  • This bread is easy to make and can be customized to your liking. For example, you can add other dried fruits or nuts, or you can use different spices to create a different flavor profile.
