Dal is a staple dish in many Indian homes, and there are countless variations on the recipe. This particular dal is inspired by the flavors of South India, where coconut milk is often used in cooking. The sweet potatoes add a unique twist to the traditional dal, and they help to balance out the spiciness of the dish. This dal is also relatively easy to make, and it can be tailored to your own taste preferences. If you like your dal spicy, you can add more chili powder or red pepper flakes. If you prefer a milder flavor, you can reduce the amount of spices or omit them altogether.
