Besan Laddu
These traditional Indian sweets are made with chickpea flour, ghee, and sugar. They are a popular dessert for festivals and special occasions.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup besan (chickpea flour)
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, toast the besan, stirring constantly, until it turns a light golden brown.
  2. Add the ghee to the skillet and stir to combine.
  3. Add the sugar to the skillet and stir to dissolve.
  4. Add the water to the skillet and stir to combine.
  5. Continue to stir until the mixture thickens and forms a ball.
  6. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the cardamom powder and nuts (if using).
  7. Drop the mixture by rounded tablespoons onto a greased baking sheet.
  8. Allow the laddus to cool completely before serving.
