I first came across this recipe when I was traveling in the Middle East. I was immediately drawn to the combination of sweet and tart flavors, and I knew I had to try it for myself. I experimented with different ingredients and proportions, and I finally came up with this recipe that I am sharing with you today. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Prep time: 10 | Cook time: 15 | Serves: 4
Ingredients
4 sea bass fillets
1/2 cup pomegranate juice
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp honey
1 garlic clove, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a small saucepan, combine the pomegranate juice, balsamic vinegar, honey, garlic, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.
Place the sea bass fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the pomegranate glaze on each fillet.
Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Serve the sea bass hot, garnished with fresh parsley. Enjoy!
Why It Works
The pomegranate juice adds a beautiful color and a slightly tart flavor to the glaze.
The balsamic vinegar adds a touch of acidity and helps to balance out the sweetness of the honey.
The honey adds a touch of sweetness and helps to thicken the glaze.
The garlic adds a touch of flavor and helps to round out the flavor of the glaze.
The salt and pepper help to season the fish and enhance the flavor of the glaze.
