The origins of ravioli can be traced back to the Italian Renaissance, where it was a staple dish among the wealthy and elite. It was believed that the first ravioli was created in the 14th century in the town of Busseto, near Parma, by a local chef named Domenico Baratta. Baratta is said to have been inspired by the shape of the Venus de Milo statue, and the dish quickly became a symbol of love and fertility. Over the centuries, ravioli has evolved into a beloved dish enjoyed by people of all ages and cultures, and our Three-Cheese Ravioli with Marinara Sauce is a modern take on this classic recipe.
