Prep time: 30 | Cook time: 20 | Serves: 4
Ingredients
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, coriander, cumin, chili powder, and garam masala.
  2. Add the vegetables to the bowl and toss to coat.
  3. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
  4. Heat the oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat.
  5. Add the marinated vegetables and cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender and the sauce has thickened, about 20 minutes.
  6. Stir in the cilantro and serve immediately.
Why It Works
  • The use of yogurt in the marinade helps to tenderize the chicken, while the spices add flavor and depth.
  • Cooking the chicken in a Dutch oven ensures that it cooks evenly and doesn't dry out.
  • Adding the butter and cream at the end of cooking creates a rich and silky sauce.
