Chhole Bhature

Ingredients
  • 1 cup dried chickpeas
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
Instructions
  1. Soak the chickpeas overnight.
  2. Drain the chickpeas and rinse them.
  3. In a pressure cooker, add the chickpeas, onion, tomato, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and 3 cups of water.
  4. Cook the chickpeas for 30 minutes on high pressure.
  5. Once the pressure has been released, mash the chickpeas with a potato masher.
  6. Add salt to taste and simmer for 15 minutes.
  7. To make the bhature, combine flour, salt, and yogurt in a bowl.
  8. Add water and knead into a dough.
