Tranquil Adrenal Relaxer
This soothing elixir is designed to help you de-stress and unwind. Bone broth is a rich source of glycine, an amino acid that has been shown to promote relaxation. Ashwagandha and rhodiola are adaptogenic herbs that help the body resist stress. Licorice root has a calming effect on the nervous system. Cinnamon and nutmeg add a touch of warmth and spice. Coconut milk adds a creamy richness. Honey, if desired, adds a touch of sweetness. This drink is best enjoyed in the evening, before bed.
I first came across this recipe in a book called "The Adrenal Cocktail" by Dr. James Wilson. Dr. Wilson is a naturopathic doctor who specializes in treating adrenal fatigue. Adrenal fatigue is a condition that can occur when the adrenal glands are overworked and unable to produce enough hormones. Symptoms of adrenal fatigue include fatigue, difficulty sleeping, anxiety, and depression. Dr. Wilson developed this recipe to help his patients relax and unwind. I've been making this drink for myself for a few months now, and I've found it to be very helpful in reducing my stress levels and improving my sleep. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
