A subtly sweet and subtly nutty (but in the very best way) spread, this Focused Fig and Almond Butter is a perfect topping for toast, crackers, or fruit. It's also a great way to use up any leftover figs you have lying around.
I first came up with this recipe when I was trying to find a way to use up some leftover figs. I had already made a few batches of fig jam, but I wanted something a little different. I started experimenting with different combinations of ingredients, and eventually I came up with this recipe. I love the way the flavors of the figs, almonds, and spices come together. It's a really versatile spread that can be used for a variety of purposes.

1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Pinch of salt

Why It Works
The combination of figs and almonds creates a subtly sweet and nutty flavor.
The spices add a warm and inviting flavor to the spread.
The honey adds a touch of sweetness and helps to balance out the tartness of the figs.
The water helps to thin out the spread and make it easier to spread.
