Blood Sugar-Balancing Fenugreek and Turmeric Infusion
This Ayurvedic-inspired infusion is a simple and effective way to support healthy blood sugar levels. Fenugreek seeds are rich in fiber and galactomannan, which slow down the absorption of sugar into the bloodstream. Turmeric contains curcumin, a powerful anti-inflammatory compound that has been shown to improve insulin sensitivity. Black pepper enhances the absorption of curcumin, making this infusion even more effective.
Fenugreek and turmeric have been used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for centuries to treat a variety of ailments, including diabetes. Modern research has confirmed the blood sugar-balancing effects of these herbs. In one study, people with type 2 diabetes who took fenugreek supplements for 8 weeks experienced a significant reduction in their fasting blood sugar levels. Another study found that curcumin supplements improved insulin sensitivity in people with prediabetes. This infusion combines the benefits of both fenugreek and turmeric in a delicious and easy-to-make beverage.
