Fig and Prosciutto Flatbread with Goat Cheese and Honey
This fig and prosciutto flatbread is a quick and easy appetizer or light meal that is perfect for any occasion. The combination of sweet figs, salty prosciutto, creamy goat cheese, and a drizzle of honey is sure to please everyone at the table.
I first came across this recipe in a small Italian restaurant in the heart of Rome. The chef was kind enough to share his recipe with me, and I have been making it ever since. I have tweaked the recipe over the years to make it my own, but the basic ingredients and flavors remain the same. This flatbread is a staple in my kitchen, and I always have the ingredients on hand to make it at a moment's notice.

1/4 cup goat cheese, crumbled

Why It Works
The combination of almond flour and tapioca flour creates a crispy, yet tender crust.
The figs and prosciutto add a sweet and salty contrast to the flatbread.
The goat cheese adds a creamy richness to the flatbread.
The honey adds a touch of sweetness and depth of flavor to the flatbread.
