Creamy Sweet Potato Puree with Ginger and Turmeric

Ingredients
1 pound sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Place the sweet potatoes and broth in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and simmer until the sweet potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.
Drain any excess liquid.
Add the olive oil, ginger, turmeric, salt and pepper to the sweet potatoes and mash until smooth.
