Fire Cider
Fire cider is a potent blend of fresh, grated ingredients that undergoes a two-week fermentation process. The resulting tonic offers a spicy, invigorating flavor that can be enjoyed in a variety of ways, including as a morning shot, a digestive aid, or an immune-boosting beverage.
Fire cider has its roots in the Appalachian Mountains, where homesteaders and herbalists have long relied on nature's bounty to treat common ailments. The recipe for fire cider, as we know it today, was popularized by herbalist Rosemary Gladstar in the 1980s, who touted its ability to ward off colds, flues, and other infections.

Why It Works
  • The combination of fresh, grated ingredients provides a potent dose of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
  • The fermentation process allows the beneficial bacteria to develop, which aids in digestion and strengthens the immune system.
  • The spicy flavor of the ingredients, particularly the black pepper and ginger, helps to stimulate circulation and reduce inflammation.
