This creamy avocado and coconut sauce is a versatile condiment that can be used as a dip for vegetables, a spread for sandwiches or tacos, or a dressing for grilled chicken or fish. It's made with just a few simple ingredients and can be whipped up in minutes.
Coconut Avocado Sauce is a tropical twist on the classic guacamole. It’s got the bright lime-y, fresh cilantro jolt of guac, plus coconut milk and honey that makes it extra creamy and soothing. The coconut milk also helps make it a little bit thinner than guacamole, so you can use it as a sauce, too. This recipe is a variation on one I’ve used for years, which actually started as a salad dressing for a Thai-inspired steak salad. I loved the creamy coconut-lime-cilantro combo, so I dialed up the avocado and made it into a sauce.

Why It Works
The avocado provides a creamy base for the sauce, while the coconut milk adds a touch of sweetness and richness.
The cilantro and red onion add brightness and freshness to the sauce.
The lime juice adds a bit of acidity and brightness, while the honey adds a touch of sweetness.
The salt and black pepper help to balance out the flavors of the sauce.
