These crispy avocado and salmon bites are a great way to use up leftover salmon. They're easy to make and can be served as an appetizer or main course.
The idea for these bites came to me one day when I was trying to figure out what to do with some leftover salmon. I had already made a salmon salad, but I wanted something a little more fun and portable. I started experimenting with different ingredients and came up with these bites. They're crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, and they're packed with flavor.
Prep time: 10 | Cook time: 12 | Serves: 4
Ingredients
1 Avocado Pitted and mashed
2 (4 ounce) cans of Salmon, flaked
2 Eggs
1/2 cup Almond Flour
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 teaspoon Dried Thyme
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
In a large bowl, combine the avocado, salmon, eggs, almond flour, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Mix until well combined.
Use a spoon to scoop out 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball.
Place the balls in the air fryer basket and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Why It Works
The avocado adds creaminess and richness to the bites.
The salmon provides a good source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids.
The almond flour helps to bind the ingredients together and gives the bites their crispy exterior.
The garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper add flavor to the bites.
