I have never been a big fan of turkey. In fact, I have always found it to be a bit bland and dry. However, this recipe for Chipotle Turkey with Roasted Broccoli has completely changed my opinion. The chipotle chili powder and smoked paprika give the turkey a delicious smoky flavor, while the roasted broccoli adds a touch of sweetness and crunch with a slight bitterness. The combination of these flavors is simply irresistible and it has quickly become one of my favorite recipes.
Prep time: 15 | Cook time: 15 | Serves: 4
Ingredients
1 pound smoked turkey breast
1 pound broccoli florets
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons chipotle chili powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
In a large bowl, combine turkey, broccoli, olive oil, chipotle chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat.
Place turkey mixture in air fryer basket and cook for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
Serve immediately.
Why It Works
The chipotle chili powder and smoked paprika give the turkey a flavorful smoky taste.
Roasting the broccoli at a high temperature gives it a caramelized exterior and tender interior.
The addition of olive oil helps to prevent the turkey and broccoli from sticking to the air fryer basket.
Shaking the basket halfway through cooking ensures that the turkey and broccoli cook evenly.
