Air fryer mushrooms are a quick and easy way to get your veggie fix. They're crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. This recipe uses cremini mushrooms, but you can use any type of mushroom you like. Just be sure to clean and slice them before cooking.
Mushrooms have been a part of the human diet for thousands of years. They were first cultivated in China around 1000 BC, and they have since spread to all corners of the globe. Mushrooms are a good source of protein, fiber, and vitamins, and they have been shown to have a number of health benefits, including reducing the risk of heart disease, cancer, and dementia.

Ingredients
1 pound cremini mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, combine the mushrooms, olive oil, garlic, oregano, thyme, salt and pepper. Toss to coat.
Spread the mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the mushrooms are golden brown and tender, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
Serve immediately.
Why It Works
The high heat of the air fryer helps to quickly brown the mushrooms, giving them a crispy exterior.
The olive oil helps to keep the mushrooms from sticking to the air fryer basket.
The garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper add flavor to the mushrooms.
Shaking the air fryer basket halfway through cooking helps to ensure that the mushrooms cook evenly.
