Tiramisu is a classic Italian dessert that is made with ladyfingers, coffee, and a mascarpone cream filling. This vegan version of tiramisu uses almond milk, cashews, and coconut cream to create a rich and creamy filling that is just as delicious as the traditional version. The ladyfingers are dipped in a coffee mixture and then arranged in the bottom of a baking dish. The cashew cream filling is then poured over the ladyfingers and the dish is refrigerated for at least 4 hours, or overnight. Before serving, the top of the tiramisu is dusted with cocoa powder.
Tiramisu is a classic Italian dessert that is thought to have originated in the 17th century. The name "tiramisu" means "pick me up" in Italian, and the dessert is said to have been created as a way to boost the morale of soldiers during wartime. The traditional version of tiramisu is made with ladyfingers, coffee, and a mascarpone cream filling. Mascarpone is a soft, creamy cheese that is made from cow's milk. However, in this vegan version of tiramisu, we use a cashew cream filling instead of a mascarpone cream filling. Cashews are a type of nut that is rich in protein and healthy fats. When blended with coconut cream and maple syrup, cashews create a creamy and delicious filling that is perfect for tiramisu.
