Aromatic Cinnamon Rolls
These cinnamon rolls are the perfect way to start your day. They're fluffy, flavorful, and made with all vegan ingredients. The dough is made with almond milk, yeast, and sugar, and it rises for an hour before being rolled out and filled with a mixture of vegan butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. The rolls are then cut into 12 pieces and placed in a baking dish, where they rise for another 30 minutes before being baked. The result is a delicious, fluffy cinnamon roll that's perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
I've always loved cinnamon rolls, but I've never been able to find a vegan recipe that I really liked. They were either too dense, too dry, or too bland. So I decided to create my own recipe, and I'm so glad I did! These cinnamon rolls are the perfect combination of fluffy, flavorful, and vegan. They're made with all plant-based ingredients, so they're perfect for people with allergies or dietary restrictions. And they're so easy to make, you'll be able to whip them up in no time.

Prep time: 30 | Cook time: 20 | Serves: 12
Ingredients
  • 1 cup warm non-dairy milk
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup vegan butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup vegan butter, melted
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the warm almond milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes, until the yeast is foamy.
  2. Add the flour and salt to the bowl and stir until a dough forms. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  3. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until the dough has doubled in size.
  4. While the dough is rising, make the filling. In a medium bowl, combine the vegan butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  5. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a 12x18-inch rectangle.
  6. Spread the filling evenly over the dough, then roll up the dough from the long side.
  7. Cut the roll into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  8. Cover the rolls with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes, or until the rolls have doubled in size.
Why It Works
  • The warm almond milk helps to activate the yeast, which creates a fluffy dough.
  • The dough is kneaded for 5-7 minutes, which helps to develop the gluten and create a strong, elastic dough.
  • The dough is allowed to rise for an hour, which gives the yeast time to ferment and produce carbon dioxide, which creates a light and airy dough.
  • The filling is made with a combination of vegan butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon, which creates a flavorful and indulgent filling.
  • The rolls are cut into 12 equal pieces, which ensures that they're all the same size and cook evenly.
  • The rolls are placed in a greased baking dish, which prevents them from sticking to the pan.
  • The rolls are allowed to rise for another 30 minutes before being baked, which gives the yeast time to ferment and produce more carbon dioxide, which creates a light and fluffy dough.
