Ingredients
  • 1 pound low FODMAP pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28-ounce) can low FODMAP crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (lactose-free)
  • Fresh basil, for garnish
Instructions
  1. Cook the pasta according to the package directions.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  5. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  6. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  7. Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the sauce.
  8. Stir to combine and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the pasta is heated through.
  9. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
