Caprese Skewers with Balsamic Glaze
Caprese skewers are a classic Italian appetizer that's easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. They're made with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil, and then drizzled with a balsamic glaze. This recipe for Caprese skewers is a bit different from the traditional version, in that the skewers are baked in the oven instead of being grilled or pan-fried. This gives them a slightly different texture, but they're still just as delicious.

I first came up with this recipe when I was looking for a way to make Caprese skewers that would be easy to transport to a party. I didn't want to have to worry about them falling apart or getting soggy, so I decided to bake them in the oven. They turned out so well that I've been making them this way ever since.

Why It Works
  • Baking the skewers in the oven instead of grilling or pan-frying them gives them a slightly different texture, but they're still just as delicious.
  • The balsamic glaze adds a touch of sweetness and acidity to the skewers, and it helps to keep them moist.
  • The skewers are easy to make and can be served as an appetizer or a main course.
