Walnut-Parmesan Dressing
This walnut-Parmesan dressing is a creamy, flavorful dressing that's perfect for salads, grilled vegetables, or even as a dip for bread. It's made with just a few simple ingredients, and it comes together in just a few minutes.
I first came up with this recipe when I was looking for a way to use up some leftover walnuts. I had some Parmesan cheese on hand, and I thought the two flavors would go well together. I started experimenting with different proportions of walnuts to cheese, and I finally settled on the ratio that I use in this recipe. I also added some olive oil, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and pepper to round out the flavors.

Why It Works
  • The walnuts add a nutty flavor and a creamy texture to the dressing.
  • The Parmesan cheese adds a salty, savory flavor.
  • The olive oil helps to emulsify the dressing and gives it a smooth texture.
  • The lemon juice adds a bright, acidic flavor.
  • The Dijon mustard adds a bit of tanginess.
  • The honey adds a touch of sweetness.
  • The salt and pepper help to balance out the flavors.
