Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Our quest to create a chocolate chip cookie that was both healthy and delicious began with a deep dive into the science of baking. We knew that traditional chocolate chip cookies are loaded with sugar and butter, which can contribute to weight gain and other health problems. So, we set out to find a way to reduce the amount of sugar and butter in our cookies without sacrificing taste or texture.
Chocolate chip cookies have been a beloved treat for generations, but they're not exactly known for being healthy. In fact, a single chocolate chip cookie can contain up to 15 grams of sugar and 10 grams of fat. That's why we set out to create a healthier version of this classic cookie that would be just as delicious as the traditional version, but without all the guilt.

Why It Works
  • **Whole wheat flour and rolled oats** provide fiber, which helps to keep you feeling full and satisfied.
  • **Coconut sugar** is a natural sweetener that has a lower glycemic index than white sugar, which means it won't cause spikes in your blood sugar levels.
  • **Pure maple syrup** is another natural sweetener that adds a touch of flavor and sweetness to the cookies.
  • **Unsalted butter** allows you to control the amount of salt in the cookies. We recommend using unsalted butter because it will give you the most flexibility in terms of flavor.
  • **Baking soda** helps the cookies to rise and become fluffy.
  • **Salt** balances out the sweetness of the cookies and enhances the flavor of the chocolate chips.
